Welcome! - I’m just a regular hockey dad who owns more travel mugs than dress shirts and has mastered the art of tying skates in sub-zero temperatures with frozen fingers and three hours of sleep
This blog was born somewhere between a 6 am practice and my 11th cup of coffee, when I realized: there are a lot of us out here, standing in rinks, wondering how we got talked into spending weekends chasing pucks and trying to remember what day it is.
Here, you’ll find the real side of being a hockey parent — the duct-tape fixes, the gear bag stink solutions, and the parenting strategies that keep you (mostly) sane through the season. From tantrums in the penalty box to learning when to push your kid — and when to just bring snacks and keep quiet — I share tips, stories, and survival tactics with a side of sarcasm and heart.
Because raising a hockey player isn’t just about winning games. It’s about raising a good human, a teammate, managing life from the bleachers, and figuring out how to parent on the go... often in a parka.
Welcome to the team. I will be your fearless coach. Just remember: never forget the caffeine, always pack snacks, and no matter what anyone says, you can wear pajama pants and flip flops to the rink.
